Mesa has closed its first-ever offering of Enhanced Equipment Trust Certificates ("EETC"), securing fixed rate financing for the acquisition of 10 new Embraer 175 aircraft, scheduled for delivery over the next six months.

New Planes! Mesa Announces Agreement to Expand our United Express Fleet with 15 E175s
On October 6, Mesa announced an agreement with United Airlines to add 15 Embraer 175 aircraft to our United Express fleet.
Besides the obvious benefit of expansion to Mesa, the addition of new aircraft greatly enhances advancement opportunities for our people, our pilots and other operational employees in particular. The addition of these aircraft will create a minimum of 75 new captain upgrade positions, 150 newly-hired first officers, 150 new flight attendant positions and over 100 additional mechanics, supervisors, dispatchers, planning and support staff.

New Planes! Mesa's first of seven factory-new CRJ900s and our 30th Embraer E175 were in Phoenix this week before entering service in Dallas for American Airlines and Houston for United. All those new leather seats....it's even better than new car smell!

Bombardier and Mesa Sign Five-year Heavy Maintenance Agreement for CRJ700 and CRJ900 Aircraft
Todd Young, VP, Customer Services, Bombardier Commercial Aircraft and Mesa Airlines President and CFO Mike Lotz at the Paris Air Show this week. The companies signed a five-year heavy maintenance agreement for Mesa's Bombardier CRJ700 and CRJ900 fleet.

It was a red carpet celebration on Oct. 2 when Mesa operated the first American Eagle nonstop service from Edmonton, Alberta Canada (YEG) to Los Angeles.
